Insured Windows Guarantees

Established in 1996 to provide peace of mind and security for IWG's members' customers in the instance when the IWG member ceases to trade, due to insolvency, and cannot honour their guarantess.
IWG are recognised within the window industry as a prefered provider of insurance backed guarantees and deposit protection policies.

What They Do

Once a member has joined IWG, they are able to issue deposit protection and insurance backed guarantee certificates online.
Alternitavely IWG can manually issue certificates for the member. Their Certificates are underwritten by Isle of Man Assurance Ltd with whom they have worked with for 15+ years.

Deposit Protection

It is a requirement that a member who takes a deposit from their customer must issue a deposit protection certificate.
In the event that the member becomes insolvent prior to completion of the installation the deposit paid is fully guaranteed.

Insurance Backed Guarantee

It is a requirement that all competent person self-certification schemes "must arrange to provide customers with appropriate financial protection to put work to dwellings right, which is non-compliant with the building regulations, where the installer cannot do so."
Our IBG certificate extends to provide not only the mandatory cover but also the guarantee terms we have provided to our customer. Cover will only apply in the event of financial failure of our company.
